An Unforgetable Experience at Hampton Inn & Suites Los Cabos
Earlier this month, the Miles of Melanin team and I were hosted by the Los Cabos Tourism Board and had the opportunity to explore Los Cabos for an entire week! Our first stop was Hampton Inn & Suites, located in San Jose del Cabo in Mexico.
The ultimate goal was to capture the culture and essence of what makes Los Cabos so vivacious, so we set out to experience what the city has to offer. One thing I loved about this opportunity, was that we were able to experience a more budget friendly option which did not dissappoint. I truly believe that every experience is what you make it, so my goal is to show you that you can make a budget friendly vacay lavish as well! If you’re ever in Los Cabos and want to experience everything we did, continue reading for a recap of our time spent at Hampton Inn & Suites Los Cabos!
Day 1
After checking in, I settled into my suite and quickly made my way to the rooftop pool to officially begin my vacay week! With amazing views of the city, I relaxed in my comfy cabana and sipped on few cocktails before lunch. Did I mention how amazing the cocktails were? The Mango Margarita was my ultimate favorite. The bartender, Mau also did an amazing job on the Mojito! It was THE BEST Mojito I’ve had since my last trip to Cuba.
Hampton Inn & Suites Los Cabos is located in the Koral Center, neighboring the best hospital in Los Cabo, numerous shops and El Merkado, which is where we were able to take on a unique gastronomic experience for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Upon arrival, we were seated and the experience began. It was as if we took a mini tour through the essence and flavors of different parts of the world. We had everything from Japanese to Italian and of course traditional Mexican cuisine! See a few of our dishes below!
Restaurant Highlights:
Barra Japonesa- Japanese Cuisine
Esquina Cantina- Authentic Mexican Cuisine
La Carreta- Authentic Mexican Cuisine
Pan di Bacco- Italian Cuisine
For dinner we got to experience a very unique concept. Our first stop was Nao, a Mediterranean influenced haven! We got to meet the mastermind behind all of the delicious items on the menu, Chef Alex Branch. A few of my favorites were the Fish Carpaccio, Pan-Seared Gnocchi and Hummus Beiruti with Fried Pita Bread, topped with Damascus Honey. The Cucumber Salad was also light and refreshing. Nao was the perfect place to enjoy a few cocktails and appetizers especially since we had two restaurants to try.
After Nao, we headed downstairs to Carbon Cabron, a signature concept restaurant by Poncho Cadena. While Nao and Carbon Cabron are sister restaurants, the vibes are the complete opposite. Nao is light, feminine and heavenly, while Cabron is more dark and masculine.
As soon as we hit the door, we knew we were in for another extraordinary experience. After a quick tour, we got things started with a flamed Negroni! Rosemary is smoked and infused into the glass for the ultimate burst of flavor. I also got the Pina Super Colada which ended up being my favorite. We got two popular entrees, the Leek and Salmon which were both a work of art! For dessert we got a light dish of Strawberries and Bell Peppers on a bed of delicious Lemon Crumble. I must say, it was quite the combination! The chef also create a flavorful juice mixed with St Germain liquor. The dish was accompanied by a scoop of Almond Ice Cream, which was truly the “icing on the cake!”
Day 2
I woke up and headed straight for breakfast. A breakfast buffet is included with every reservation; however, we decided to go back to El Merkado for a frappe at the Ufficio Caffe. While there we couldn’t resist trying out the French toast on their menu. Needless to say, it was delicious.
We sat and ate with the management team and owner of the Koral Center.
Afterwards, I made my way to the spa, which is conveniently located on the rooftop of the Hampton Inn & Suites. I was treated to a full body massage which was truly sensational!
We spent the remainder of our time at the rooftop, sipping on champagne, eating fresh fruit and enjoying the breathtaking views of the city.
Overall, I had an amazing experience at Hampton Inn & Suites! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to enjoy Los Cabos without breaking the bank. Huge shoutout to Mr. Rodriguez and the rest of the team at Hampton Los Cabos for their amazing hospitality!
