My First Chemical Peel Experience At Urban Skin Solutions

Tempted to commute to Cali for all of my skincare needs, I have been searching high and low for a quality medspa in the Carolinas.
Being a beauty influencer, I get numerous packages of new products to test out for my subscribers which has left my skin in dire need of some TLC. Not knowing how my skin will react to certain products is a risk I take for those that watch my content and trust my judgement.
As a young teen I would scroll on “the gram” and see different testimonials from women who transformed their skin at a medspa in Charlotte, NC, but being that I rarely had skin issues I would bypass it not knowing that my skin would take a drastic turn for the worst shortly after I began my career in the beauty industry.
Eager to find a solution to my problem skin, I started doing more research on the company I used to scroll past when I was younger.
For over ten years, Urban Skin Solutions has catered to all skin types. They also specialize in skincare for diverse skin tones, specifically those with a little more melanin than others; which is very rare to find in the Carolinas.
To begin my new regimen I even purchased products from their skincare line, Urban Skin Rx. One of them being their infamous Clear Skin Cleansing Bar, which is now sold at Target.
After trying the bar my face went through a purging stage (of course I assumed the worst) and I can't even lie, I began to lose hope. I later reached out to the mastermind behind the brand, Rachel Roff for some much needed skincare guidance, which later led me to the medspa for my very first treatment.
My experience at Urban Skin Solution was nothing short of amazing. I had high expectations being that they treat celebrity clients like Eva Marcille of America's Next Top Model and Fantasia Barrino of American Idol.
The treatment that was recommended to me was the Oxy Acne Peel, which is a chemical peel for acne prone skin. My esthetician was very informative and made me feel right at home. With glowing, flawless skin; I could tell she knew her stuff.
During the process the chemicals were massaged into my skin and left to sit. I felt a slight tingling/burning sensation as the products began to work. The total process took about ten to fifteen minutes and felt as if I was receiving a facial the entire time.
UPDATE:
Due to work and traveling I have since restarted my series of chemical peels and will be documenting each one to show you all the results.
As you can see my skin peeled tremendously however, my skin improved after day seven. You may still see a few bumps and pigmentation, which is why a series of these peels from Urban Skin Solution are recommended.
I will continue incorporating the Urban Skin Solutions medspa into my skincare regimen, with high hopes of nurturing my skin back to health. I will keep you all posted after each peel to update you on my results.
